Jon Stewart Destroys Media for Ignoring Ron Paul

Stewart reviewed the Sunday morning talk show talking points, and found that, universally, Bachmann, Romney, and Perry were considered the “top tier.” “You’re not forgetting anyone?” Stewart asked, referring to Rep. Paul, who had come in second. Rep. Paul managed to be ignored over Rick Santorum– “he lost to the guy who lost so bad he dropped out of the race”– and Jon Huntsman, who got 69 votes. “If all of Jon Huntsman’s supporters met at the Ames, Iowa Quiznos, the fire marshal would say, ‘yeah, that’s fine, here are some more seats.’” Stewart found it bewildering that Rep. Paul had become “the 13th floor of a hotel,” culminating with a clip of a CNN anchor requesting a reporter leave out the Ron Paul reporting if they found any juicy Sarah Palin stuff– saying, in Stewart’s words, “I mean, f*ck that guy, right?”

This is going to be the battle of the century. He’ll have to run independent eventually. Where he will win. 38% Paul, 33% GOP, 29% Obama.

Thank you Jon for giving us the media coverage we deserve! Maybe you can interview Dr. Paul on your show again. Even though you guys have politically different ideologies, he’s the only Republican candidate offering sound solutions to our problems and coincidentally, he’s also highly supported among young people who also watch your show.

  • TheGreat Gazoo says:

Ron Paul 2012 – for 2 terms!! That will start us back on the path forward. End lobbying and restore representation of the people. End the Fed, and restore sound money. End the wars and restore security for America. End the Patriot Act and restore freedom to the People. End the two party illusion and restore The Constitution. Thank you John Stewart!

  • Kenny says:

Thank You Jon for being the best and most honest news reporter on TV. Have Ron Paul on your show again. Its great to hear some common sense o TV. There is never any common sense on FOX.

  • We have all of these laws that have been enacted for campaign reform and gender, race, and age equality here in the United States, while yet our own media – who STANDS on their 1st amendment right to free speech – commences upon a true blackout of anything that Ron Paul has to say!!! Doesn’t he have the right to speak his views and make his bid to become a candidate for president? I mean come on – the mainstream media lets air heads like Michelle Malkin spew her BS across the air, all the while not letting someone who speaks the truth about the mess we have gotten ourselves into (meaning those who are supposed to be the policy makers working on our behalf have made for us) and someone who makes total sense in their political policy and finance philosophy explain themselves to the world as well!!!

The mainstream media needs to quit this line that they have began to take that the Constitution only applies to situations that they deem as correct!!! The Constitution is not just a set of suggestions – it is the total basis that our country was FOUNDED upon!!! And that list of founding principals applies to the people of this country 100% of the time!!! Not just when the mainstream media sees it fit to advance there own bought and paid for agenda!!! Mainstream media needs to quit worrying about pissing off there sponsors and focus on the true issue at hand – report the news and truly let the viewer or listener form there own opinion of the news that is presented to them!!!

Let’s use Dan Rather as an example – Dan truly is a journalism icon – he was setup to portray documents as being real about G.W. Bush (of which they were not) and was forced to resign from CBS because they say that his creditability had been shot to pieces!! The Bush administration had forced CBS to ask Dan to resign!!! Now Dan had to go to another network that is on cable (HDNet) to do his job because he has been blackballed for presenting information that his bosses had told him was true and they pushed him to run the story!!! When is it the business of the government, that is supposedly leading a free nation, to dictate who is a newscaster and who is not??

Furthermore, shouldn’t this fact be looked at and exposed by our media as a true indicator to the fact that our nation has moved from a free republic to that of a tyrannical nation-state? I know that the issue of Dan Rather is old news, but come on – it is a good example of what we are dealing with here!!!

We need to take a stand and wakup as a free people, whilst we still have some symbolical representation of what we call freedom – and take back our news media for what is was meant for, to relay INFORMATION to the people and not to push opinion and basically become one long bought a paid for commercial!!! Get a grip people, we are only being feed the information that they (the mainstream media) want us to know!!!

  • Jules Manson says:

This is striking evidence that the mass media is controlled by an elite who do not want a constitutional republic and intend to use their control to wipe Ron Paul from our conscious. I now love Jon Stewart even more for exposing this unfair treatment of the only real candidate who is a throwback to the founding fathers of this great nation. Ron Paul is the only sensible option to restore the republic.

I salute and applaud Jon Stewart for exposing this.

  • DavidB says:

I’m not a fan of John Stewart, however I agree with his observations of the media deliberately ignoring Ron Paul, who is in my opinion the strongest candidate by far, with his fiscal conservatism and social libertarianism.

It is very very sad that the USA is still playing such childish games while the country is disintegrating, very sad indeed. With this sort of nonsense still going on, I have almost lost all hope for the USA ever recovering.

  • Docer says:

All only because Ron Paul isn’t a money thieving corporatist. All because he is honest, and actually cares about other people. Sad times. People really need to learn how to see past these games, and develop their own smarts. We are in a nation of sheep, and that is just what they are counting on.

About Rick Perry (aka George Bush The Third)
Rumors of Strange Bed Fellows in Texas in 2004
A Texas RINO Governor named Rick Perry
Got busted bedding his State Secretary.
    His wife couldn’t handle
    The thought of a scandal
Like Idaho’s “wide stance” Senator Larry!
Perry likes to pray, and talk about straight Texas Honor
But his wife caught him with Secretary of State Geoff Connor.
    His wife felt disgraced
    That she’d been displaced
‘Cause Rick spent way more time off her than on her!
Soon after the sordid tale hit he press
The Bilderburgers stepped in to suppress
    All these gay Perry rumors
    Which are electoral tumors
So they brought in “The Rove” for finesse.
    Karl issued an immediate repudiation
    And arranged Goeff Connor’s resignation
    ‘Cause the Bilderburg’s goal
    Of a Perry Presidential role
Won’t be blocked by Rick’s back door infatuation.
When Perry prays, he’s only playin’ you for a fool
For he only practices the top half of the Golden Rule.
    He now awaits his chance
    To “widen out” his stance
And be President, offering to push in America’s stool!

  • Oh he got them so good! Good job John, thank you. I hope he and Ron Paul could talk more about that on the Daily Show some time soon.

  • Andrew Stover says:

Thank you John Stewart. Just, thank you.
